Model : Timo Camera : Canon G5
A photo I have always liked, but just submitting it now because Nyssa pushed me into believing it's good enough for dA lol. What I really like about it is that it captures the curiosity and playfulness so many kittens seem to have.
As for what's going on in the photo, Timo was playing with the water with his paw like he was trying to catch it. So I literally ran off to get my camera (you have no idea how fast they stop doing cute things lol), to see if I could get a couple of shots. I waited for a while because he kept changing positions. Took a couple of shots because some he just moved right as I pressed the shutter button. Anyways, as you can see, Timo is fascinated by the water falling down that he doesn't even notice he's getting wet
wow .... i love this picture the way it looks the way it has been taken the angle of it it fantastic i like the mirror at the bottom really sets the picture off very well captured
I'm going to repeat comment number three and say I love the focus as well. Looks so good. Love how it's focussed on the water drops as well as Timo's face. Generally I think most people would end up focussing just on the drops, or just the face, so you did a lovely job in capturing them both. There's also a nice depth to the image as well, which really makes the water drops stand out. It would have been a bit icky if they had've merged into the background in someway. They're very sharp, the clarity is great, which makes them seem almost surreal.
I love the whole composition of it. It almost looks as if he was trying to scoop up the water and drink it from his paw. Very cute that. Even though there is only a little of the face shown, you can still see expression there, and also in his feet. Maybe I'm sounding crazy but I guess I just acknowledge a cat's feet a lot, because they seem to be a good expression indication and they scream playful to me.
Anyway, overall I love the shot. It's completely different from any other cat photography you're going to find on deviantART which makes it even better. These types of shots take time, where as people have a habit of snapshot type cat photography. And good on you for submitting something toned and not coloured. I'm proud of you for stepping out of your comfort zone. Love it!

- No, have you ?
This photograph captures the innocence, the inquisitiveness et al. All in all, this is just a fantastic shot.
I love it, m'dear, and it's more than DA worthy...it's just good.
