Okay, so there are a couple of stamps around with a similar message, but I wanted one for me and to my own tastes (although I've uploaded it for anyone to use if they wish to). I wanted to keep it to the dA colours. It will fit with a certain journal CSS I have to tweak. I also thought it would be a good idea to make the word "comments" stand out the most for obvious reasons. I actually found doing something so simple as a stamp pretty hard. More so because I don't like the restriction when it comes to text and having to chop and change things so that stuff fits into it and still looks decent.
About the message
This stamp, or should I say the message, evidently won't appeal to everyone. In fact, quite a few I imagine considering the current rate of things, but I know for myself and to some others it will.
I'm really saddened browsing around dA and hearing from some friends that they're getting tired of getting lots of favourites and not many comments. It has to be said that the +fav and comment ratio has gotten really bad over the years :\ It's unfortunate because a lot of artists just want to know people's thoughts on what they upload even if it's a few words. I personally don't think it cuts it saying "A favourite says it all". To me, it doesn't. One can only assume a person likes your piece of work they faved, but do they know why? No.
Don't get me wrong, favourites are nice and all, and I know some people will say "well I have no time" etc, but this isn't the case for everyone. It wouldn't hurt to have a little more interaction with the artist and drop them a few words if you're going to favourite their piece of art. It would be great to see us move away from the craze of just simply clicking a button and our interaction with the artist ends there. We can do better than that
I agree totally, faves are no use without comment. We can only grow through crit

Well, you know exactly how I feel about this situation. I don't like it too much. 80% of my message centre are favourites, which is disappointing.
I do like to know what people think, even if it's just "I really love the colours" or something... it's better than not knowing what they liked at all and it makes the favourite a little more worthwhile: "Oh, they liked the colours enough to add it to their favourites" as opposed to "Wonder why they faved it?".
I could keep going on, but not much point. Your description says everything I would say.
it definitely gets to be frustrating when you ask for critique on artwork and all you get is a bunch of 's
its great to know that people enjoy your art, but theres always somewhere to improve...and thats where comments come in!
i agree with you. sometimes i do not have time to comment but most times i do and i try to say something about the piece. i am not great at critique but i do know why i like something, even if at the basic level.

Well you already know what I think about this "problem" and I think I'll use your stamp in my journals... maybe things won't change, but at least it's worth a try.
Now the critic part
Great work, good choice with the colours and I like the half fella. It really fits the secret CSS you're talking about but I'm not sure if the colours will fit mine... I might force you to make one in b/w

FAQ #655: The FAQ is acting all weird. What's the deal?
Need Help?
it's a bit tired when people fave a new art, and say anything about why he faved it..
if a fave it's good, knowing why it's superb.
however, i think this hapèns really often with new people in DA
