Waterside, Saltash, Cornwall, England

Shot down at the Waterside on a day where the clouds seemed to look quite moody which I do happen to love!

The bridge in the photo is the Royal Albert Bridge situated between Saltash, Cornwall and Plymouth Devon, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel and opened in 1859.

Miss Zeta, you never cease to amaze me. This is absolutely gorgeous! The angle of the bridge really draws your attention in the right way leading you further to the right, seeing what appears to be an intense storm.

Fantastic.

Wow thanks Alex! Previous shots I've taken included more of the bridge, but it also included the suspension bridge next to it as well which ruins the oldish feeling this bridge has and adds to the photo. And mm, I'm such a clouds fangirl lol.

Real happy you like it that much :faint:

All those favourites so far and they didn't even comment :disbelief: Pretty shocking actually!

While I personally don't like square crops that much, it still works here as it does place more focus on the bridge considering it's mostly outside of the frame. I love the warmth and coldness of this photo too. The bridge and the houses on the otherside of the river are quite warm but the clouds and water have a very distinct cold feeling to them. It's a lovely mix of both worlds.

And of course, those clouds just spell out gloom and doom. ;) It was quite a nice day for gloomy clouds, for sure!

When I think about it, I don't think this was the day we had chips, but the same day I took the church photos. I remember now. :paranoid:

Anyway, it's a lovely shot. I think you need to try some more darker and moodier photos like this one (although, not to stop your colourful and vibrant photos of course).

Keep it up! It's a great photo with a lot of balance to it.

I know this place very well, and used to pass it when I lived in Plymouth. Brings back so many lovely memories.

Totally awesome shot - the depth of field is extrordinary! (it views as if you were there!) Love the dramatic clouds, too, great eye!

Exquisitely shot. I love the depth and balance. The details and colors are so beautiful. Majestic clouds and elegant water reflection. Serene and just about perfect.
