Well I'm finally submitting my website design! It's mostly done although there are a few things I need to polish up here and there (although I won't be making any other changes), but I thought I'd just go ahead and submit this or I'll never get around to it. This is also the first time I submit anything like this. A rather big step for me and so I'm proud of myself By the way, my site isn't online yet. I've still a few things to complete.
As for the design, I wanted it to be something that represented me and what I love. Something natural was the goal. I think I managed to pull that off. Of course it could be better, but I'm not really a graphics artist and not using PS really does have its disadvantages at the end of the day. I really should get to grips with it some time and not keep running back to a programme I have been using for years.
Comments in the sidebar were pulled from another blog Out & About UK and Nyssa was actually talking about the bird blue tit. Didn't even notice what the comment said until it was pointed out to me. Whoops! lol.
Thanks to:
~kurumizawa for some of the icons used
~gvalkyrie for the hot brushes
`nyssi for her hard work in coding it up
This is stunning! I'm into blogging big time now, because I plan to blog extensively during my trip to the US in December, so I'm starting to see what works and doesn't, in a blog, and this works really well. It's given me ideas too.
This looks really nice. It's clean and really easy to understand yet it's full of quirky details like the ladybird, the butterfly and the partly eaten leaf which are all very cool touches. I keep running back to PhotoShop too, I really need to practice more with other programmes. I can use a few things but it's PhotoShop I'm most confident with as I use it all the time for photos and certain graphic design things I've done.
